Martin Ridley is a Scottish wildlife artist specialising in original bird paintings inspired by the coasts, wetlands and mountains of Scotland. The collection includes golden eagles, barn owls, pink-footed geese, black grouse, capercaillie and other gamebirds.
All paintings shown are original oil paintings available directly from the artist unless marked as sold or in a gallery exhibition. New original bird paintings are added as they become available.

Perhaps you would like a bespoke piece of artwork to remind you of a special experience or as a gift for someone with a particular interest.
A commission can be a great opportunity to create something really distinctive or of unusual proportions. I can produce paintings that work as pairs or triptychs and large canvases. Whether inspired by themes I’ve explored before or something entirely new, I’m always happy to consider proposals.
Please note I do not undertake commissions of domestic animals or human portraits.
